Hillandale Reading Program

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 10:18 PM EDT
One of the great things about being a kid is that sometimes it's okay to just let go and get messy.

This week at Hillandale Elementary School kids are aspiring to be artistic by creating a drip painting.

This activity is part of the schools summer reading program.

Today they've read a book about artists and now they're creating a work of art that will hang in the school library.

They come here for fun and to check out books.

There were no rules and the activity encourages them to read during the summer! Hillandale Reading Program
