Students at Jonathan Valley Elementary School are collecting money for Relay for Life.

The classroom that collects the most pennies wins the school competition.
As you'll see in our Never Stop Learning report, there's always the possibility of a slam, when silver cancels out your copper.

Every silver coin or dollar bill dropped in the bucket, cancels out the pennies Ms. Beck's class has collected this week.

It's all in fun, just one of the many ways the school is raising money for cancer research.

Recently, Ms. Beck and 23 other people lost their locks and raised over $2,000.

Teacher Laura Ernest, her assistant, and Carla Billups all took part in the "Shave Show Down" along with some students.Kids for Cancer Research
