Summer is not the time for kids to get behind on their school work, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring classwork.

It can be "ooey and gooey", and still be educational!

These young scientist are mixing water, glue and food coloring to come up with some pretty cool slime!

The kids in grades first through third are taking part in the Ooey Gooey Science Camp at Carolina Day School.

The kids say it's going to be a week of fun, doing all kinds of interesting stuff.

Some of the students got a little "heavy handed" on the water and end up with a really gooey mess.

But they learned if you add a bit more solid, in this case the borax, they can once again have control of their science experiment.Ooey Gooey Science
