While most kids are spending their summer at the pool, riding their bike or maybe going to the beach.

There are some mountain kids are taking part in a hands on science lesson, and there isn't any other place they'd rather be.

He has sticky fingers and toes and he's about 3 years old, Dale is a crested gecko.

Ms. Melissa uses him and a number of other animals at Ashevilles' Health Adventure to teach people about reptiles.

For these home schoolers it's a hands on science lesson the students always look forward to.

The home school students come to the Asheville Health Adventure once a week to take part in the science camp.

Of course as we've reported the Health Adventure will be closing soon and all of the parents and students we spoke with say they're sad to see it go.Real Reptiles
