Rock Chalk City Talk

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 10:18 PM EDT
From Chicago to Seattle, and all the way to Paris, students are finding out what life is like in a big city.

And they're using music to tell their story.

It's the opening number for the spring play "Rock, Chalk, City Talk".

Students at Avery's Creek Elementary school are singing about things you can do like jump rope in a city park, eat ice cream on a hot day and of course you can always make music.

About 125 first graders have been practicing for the past several months.
Students say it's a great way to learn about the different cities around the world.

The first graders are performing again tonight for their parents.Rock Chalk City Talk
