School Is Out!

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 10:18 PM EDT
Students in McDowell County are calling it a day.

That's right, as of today the school year is over, and as you'll see in our Never Stop Learning report, students have big plans for the summer!

Kindergarteners are reviewing some of their favorite school activities, like learning geometric shapes and the sights and sounds of their ABC's.

In Ms. Queens' class they counted down the 180 days till the last day of school.

Down the hall first graders at Pleasant Gardens Elementary are keeping themselves busy before todays' dismissal, they're all looking forward to an active summer

Before the kids called it quits they dug through the "treasure chest" picking out the broken toys so that the box will be ready for the next class of first graders this fall.

Speaking of the fall, the next school year in McDowell County begins in August.

So kids, soak in the summer fun...because you'll be back in class before you know it!School Is Out!
