An unusual sport is gaining momentum in the south thanks to some prime air-time during the winter Olympics. Curling takes place on ice where players push a large stone using brooms to clear a path and move it along.


You can learn to play the sport year-round right here in the Carolinas. The Charlotte Curling Club often has learn to curl or beginner Events on Friday nights and Tuesday mornings.
