A verdict has been reached in the trial of one of two suspects accused of stealing an armored truck.
Alex Loftis was found guilty of second degree kidnapping, larceny by an employee, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. The other suspect in the case, Jerry Bogan, had his case continued until February 11th.
Loftis was driving the Dunbar armored truck in November 2011 when the money disappeared. Officers say he called Canton Police saying the truck had been robbed. Investigators found the missing cash a month later buried on property in Anderson, South Carolina, that belonged to Bogan.
Loftis was sentenced to between 6 to 8 years in jail.
