Balloon Release for Newtown
Updated: Wednesday, December 19 2012, 04:27 PM EST
After the mass shooting in Connecticut, we all feel emotionally linked to Newtown. Now, an Asheville connection brings that tragedy even closer to home.
The mother of one of the children killed is from the mountains. Sandy Johnson Previdi lost her little girl Caroline at Sandy Hook. Today, a balloon release honors all of the victims.
Caroline Previdi was six years old. Her mother Sandy was a 1991 graduate of Asheville High School.
26 balloons released at Pack Square in memory of those killed Friday.
There's now an RIP Caroline Previdi Facebook page, which have more than 4800 likes. So many words of condolences for the girl described as a "little angel."
