The Biltmore Estate is now second best on the list of most visited places in North Carolina for the first time in nine years.
That's according to Carolina Publishing, which says the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh is top dog when it comes to attendance.
The museum added a nature research center last spring and outdrew the nation's largest privately owned home by close to a 100-thousand visitors.
Biltmore's Vice President of Marketing says after topping the charts all these years, second place isn't a loss.
The estate drew 1.1 million visitors in 2012, an all-time record.
