The Flat Rock Village Council votes to give the Flat Rock Playhouse $100,000 to reduce its bank debt. The Village Council voted on the issue Thursday.
The mayor says the money will only be approved after the Board of Trustees meets on Saturday, and confirms the playhouse will go forward with its 2013 season. The board also must approve the application of the money to the bank debt in accordance with a plan proposed by the bank.
Earlier this week, the struggling playhouse announced it had received enough donations to remain open next year.
