Fifth Person Charged In Assault & Robbery Investigation

A fifth persons is now charged in a case involving a group of people police say assaulted and robbed an Asheville woman. William Franchell, from Etowa, is charged with felony conspiracy and aiding and abetting. Investigators say he and four others attacked the victim and stole her money and a debit card on November 29th. Another person is still under investigation, but is not charged at this time.
