McDowell Teen Pleads Guilty

Updated: Monday, January 21 2013, 04:11 PM EST

A teen pleads guilty to stealing thousands of dollars worth of instruments from Marion Elementary School.

In November, 18-year-old Nicholas Cordell broke into two buildings at the school and stole three guitars, a ukulele, bongo drums and electronics.

As part of the plea deal, Cordell received a suspended sentence and was ordered to perform community service and pay restitution to the school. He was also ordered to pay for guns and chain saws he stole from a home in Marion in a separate incident.
