A Hendersonville man's murder conviction is upheld by the state court of appeals.
Charles Ball was convicted of beating 83-year-old Paul Chanin to death in April 2009 with a baseball bat.
Ball had worked for Chanin, and Chanin's ex-wife Carol claimed she and Ball had an affair.
The court of appeals denied Ball's claim that the trial court made a mistake by refusing his request for special instructions to the jury.
The appeals court ruled the instructions were not necessary.
