Playhouse Funding Goal Reached
Updated: Tuesday, December 11 2012, 05:08 PM EST
The Flat Rock Playhouse will stay open for 2013. The playhouse announced it has raised the $250,000 it will need to get through the season. $150,000 came from donations and community support. An anonymous donor also contributed $100,000.
Operators say they have a lot of work to do to reach their ultimate goal of a million dollars. Some of the changes include cutting the main stage shows by four performances and increasing the "Music On The Rock" performances.
The playhouse also plans to take some of it's productions on the road to further promote it.
The Flat Rock Playhouse will still have their fundraising concert Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $25 per person.
The 2013 season opens April 3rd when the curtain goes up on "The Odd Couple."
