Staying Warm In The Cold

The cold has folks bundling up and looking for ways to stay warm. Heat sources come in many packages. If you go outside in these temperatures, have a good jacket, hat, gloves, and scarfs...anything that will keep your extremities covered and safe. For staying warm and safe inside, folks are filling up propane tanks. Infrared heaters are also big sellers these days and many people are making sure their heating oil tanks are topped off. Some have electric heat....others rely on Mother Nature and burn wood. Steve Carver at Trustworthy Hardware in Waynesville says folks are also buying straw and cedar shavings for their dogs. And of course with weather like this ...it's a good idea to bring them inside and warm them up. It’s not all bad with the cold. Tube World, and the Cataloochee ski area in Maggie Valley are happy to see the cold and snow and more business.
