Storm Damage In N. Asheville

A city worker sums it up best, after North Asheville was slammed by the storm.
"Trees down man, everywhere!" he said. "Trees, cables, wires... You name it."
Traffic near Jones Primary School was at a standstill after crews put up barricades at the potentially dangerous intersection, where a huge tree fell over and blocked the road. The tree fell into power lines, which dangled in the middle of the road.
The damage wiped out power to nearby homes, but not the school. Thousands of outages were reported in Buncombe County.
"It was horrible," says Jennifer Pearson. "There's trees I was wondering which one is gonna come down."
Just around the corner, there was another barricade on Pinecroft off Beaverdam road.
