Hundreds of students are getting out of school this week to do their learning on location.
750 Asheville City and Buncombe County students will be visiting 25 area businesses during NC "Students @ Work" week. The statewide initiative helps Middle School Students take what their learning in the classroom into the workplace. Buncombe County is the only county taking the step of busing entire classes of students to the hosting businesses.
The daily career focuses include STEM or technology and engineering fields, Health Care, Hospitality, Tourism, Advanced Manufacturing, Arts, and Culture.
