Two Banks Robbed Friday

Police in two mountain towns are still looking for suspects in bank robberies that happened late Friday.
Waynesville Police are releasing new video of a woman who walked into the Champion Credit Union on Walnut Street just before closing. They say she handed the teller a note demanding money, saying she had a gun, but never showed it. Investigators say she's 35 to 45, had a scarf covering part of her face, and was wearing a plaid shirt. They say there are other features that stand out. Another bank robbery Friday happened at the TD Bank North on Weaverville Boulevard. Police in Weaverville say the man showed the teller a note and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt. If you have any information, call Weaverville Police at (828) 465-5700.
