Year Round School Plans

One Asheville elementary school will switch to a year round schedule.
Hall Fletcher Elementary will start the new schedule for the 2014-15 school year.
It includes a six week summer, plus three week fall, winter and spring breaks between nine week periods.
The school board voted unanimously to make the change.
Hall Fletcher's principal says if student achievement improves, the entire district could switch to year round school.
The change for Hall Fletcher is expected to cost $50,000 to cover intersession and after school programs.
