Firefighters pull-off a difficult rescue in Buncombe County of a man trapped at least 30-feet up in a tree.
It happened on Blue Heron Drive in Skyland shortly after noon Saturday.
Officials say the man was trimming branches when a limb fell and his leg became caught in a rope, pinning him to the tree.
They say it was a dangerous situation for everyone involved, but they were well prepared.
Deputy Chief Ryan Cole, Skyland Fire Department, "luckily last year we actually did training just on this very thing because we have experienced this in the past, and the guys were well-trained and did a great job in getting the guy out of the tree."
The rescue took about an hour. Firefighters say the man was conscious-and-talking when they brought him down. He was taken to Mission Hospital. Right now there's no word on his condition.
