Today hundreds of people learned how they can prepare for a trend that will affect everyone at work.
UNC Asheville hosted a conference focused on "realizing the benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce."
In the next 30 years, a major shift is expected to change the landscape on the job and that demographic change will impact everything from hiring to promotions.
Deborah Miles, Center for Diversity Education, "we need to prepare for 2042 when our nation becomes a majority population... The skills people are working on today will help us get there. "
The conference today was timed to coincide with the YWCA national initiative, "Stand Against Racism."
