Preparations For President Obama

President Obama will be making his way to Asheville Wednesday on the heels of Tuesday's State of the Union address. He'll arrive at Asheville Regional Airport around 11:10 a.m. and speak to a group at Linamar Corporation at around noon about the economy.

News 13 spoke to some of the workers who say this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Linamar officials say workers from all shifts have been asked to be at the plant by 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. They are able to bring one guest will them. Employees say they're excited to show President Obama they are able to live the American dream.

The Canadian based company is a global is a manufacturer of parts for engines, transmissions and drive trains. In the next ten years, they plan on creating 650 positions.

Wednesday's visit is not open to the public. Only a select group is invited to attend.
