Travel Delayed Ahead Of Storm
Updated: Tuesday, February 11 2014, 11:40 PM EST
The City of Asheville is among the many places across the mountains and the Upstate trying to be ready for this next winter storm. But what's happening in other locations is already having an impact.
Most signs of Monday's snowfall are gone on the roads. But another form of transportation's showing signs of things to come. Asheville Regional Airport is just about deserted Tuesday night. That's because of all the flight cancellations already happening in Atlanta and long delays in Charlotte. The domino-effect of air travel.
The City of Asheville's fleet of plows is sitting ready. Maintenance crews are on standby for round the clock duty. City officials say they are as prepared as possible.
There is a new feature on Asheville's website called snowMapper to check where crews will be focusing their efforts is getting streets plowed. Click here for snowMapper.
