In prep baseball, the Asheville High Cougars get a 2 run homer by Jordan Benton in the first to jump ahead 2-0 over Asheville Christian Academy. ACA's Thomas George helped the Lions stay close with great defense in left, robbing Sam Turner of extra bases , then throwing out Colton Hanlsey at the plate, to stop another Cougar threat, but Asheville wouldn't be denied, winning 6-3.
UNCA uses a three run sixth inning to pull ahead of North Carolina A&T 6-4 at McCormick Field. The Bulldogs held on to beat the Aggies 6-5.
