The Roberson Rams improved to 21-0 with a 9-0 win over Erwin.Roberson has only given up one goal all year.
Rams got quick scores from Mackenzie Davis and Vanessa Wood to get them off and running Monday night.
Roberson also voted number one in the 3-A soccer poll. Asheville is 14th in the rankings.
In 1-A, Polk County is second while Hendersonville voted 7th. Those were the only four mountain teams ranked.

Smoky Mountain's girls basketball coach Cindi Simmons named the Tony Webb Coach of the Year by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. The award goes to a coach nominated by their school who has a minimum of 10 years and goes to someone who has made contributions to the school and community. Simmons has won a state basketball title and three state volleyball titles in her 25 years at Smoky Mountain.

McDowell All-State guard, Kurie Washington, has committed to play her college ball at Wingate.
Washington broke the school scoring record with 1975 points.
