Mars Hill College announced today that former UNCA assistant head basketball coach, Thomas Nash, has been named the head coach of the Mars Hill Men's Basketball Program.
Nash served under UNCA head coach Eddie Biedenbach for the past seven years. Prior to working for the Bulldogs, Nash was the head coach for Carolina Day School. Nash led CDS to back to back NCISAA state titles in 2000 and 2001.

In Prep Softball, the Roberson Rams completed a come from behind win to beat Tuscola, winning the MAC Championship 3-2. Tuscola held a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the seventh when Marie Mauhar connected on a 2 run double with 2 outs to give Roberson the lead. Rams pitcher Kaitlin Ramsey shutout the side on the top of the 7th to seal the victory.
