The Asheville Trailblazers home school soccer team is playing for a national title this weekend in Kansas City.
The Trailblazers won the state title last Saturday , quite an accomplishment, considering that this is their first year of play. The Trailblazers say this first year has been a great bonding experiencing with a terrific payoff.
Roy Williams will be honored by his hometown. There will be a Roy Williams Day on May 25th with a reception and dinner at the Grove Park Inn. The event will also help raise money for Williams favorite charity, the Carolina Covenant. Tickets are 100 dollars per seat.
The reception and silent auction start at 5:30. Dinner at 7:00 and the program begins at 7:30.
Tickets are still available but must be purchased by May 16.
