The Asheville Tourists took an early 1-0 lead against Delmarva,but Ryan Adams hit two solo home runs to give the visiting Shorebirds a 2-1 win at McCormick Field.
The loss pushed Asheville into second in the Southern Division, a game behind the new first place team, Augusta in the standings.
Two Christ School teammates have committed to play college basketball. Lakeem Jackson, a 6-5 guard, has decided to go to South Carolina. He averaged over 15 points a year in his junior season at Christ School. Dee Giger, a 6-7 shooting guard, committed to Harvard. Giger excited about the Crimson's great combination of athletics and academics.
