Asheville High School trying to keep its spot among the mountain's elite programs.
The Cougars have one of the rare mountain state football titles and have been in the regional championship game in five of the last six seasons. This year could be harder though. Asheville has only 15 lettermen returning and coach Danny Wilkins is concerned about the Cougars lack of depth.
His biggest concern, replacing all-everything quarterback Rahkeem Morgan who is now playing at East Carolina. Tyheim Bolden and Brandon Whitesides sharing snaps now, and coach Wilkins says he may have a platoon situation there.
