The McDowell High Titans hoping for their first winning season since 2001. McDowell also hoping a first time head coach who is a Titan through and through can lead them back to the prep promise land.
Carson Gowan who played at McDowell and has been a long time assistant coach there has been promoted to the head coaching job. He won't have an easy task, the biggest problem replacing 24 hundred yard, all state running back Terrance Kincaid. Gowan says he isn't concerned with replacing players though, but with replacing the system. He is going to a power I attack with his main focus, building continuity at McDowell. He wants to put a system in place which will help build the school into a consistent winner.McDowell Preview (08-16-08)
