Investigators say human remains found in Transylvania County could be those of a man who's been missing for months.
Deputies believe the remains are those of 33 yr. old Ramey Stancil of Rosman, who was reported missing May 25th.
One of Stancil's relatives found the remains Monday in the woods behind an abandoned home site the family owns on East Fork Road.
Deputies say a search of the home site was conducted when Stancil was first reported missing, but not the woods behind it.
The remains will be sent for an autopsy today, which investigators hope will yield a positive identification.
