Brevard Father Charged with Child Abuse
A two month old baby is in the hospital with serious injuries, his father behind bars.
The Transylvania County Sheriff's office arrested 23 year old Joshua Ryan Baltezore of Brevard on Monday. He is charged with one count of Intentional Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Physical Injury.
Baltezore's baby son was found without a pulse and not breathing on Friday. EMS crews were able to revive the child and take him to Transylvania Regional Hospital. The baby was when transferred to Mission Hospital where he remains.
Baltezore is in the Transylvania County Detention Facility under a $100,000 secured bond.
The SBI is assisting in the investigation which is ongoing.
