Mountain Home Woman Charged in Fatal Stabbing
A Henderson County man, stabbed to death during a domestic dispute, dies of his injuries.
The stabbing happened on Cosmo Drive in the Mountain Home community. Deputies say Angela Carpenter stabbed James Sciarratta in the kitchen of her home. They say his wife tried to save him but he later died of his injuries.
Carpenter is charged with second-degree murder.
Deputies say the Sciarrattas moved in with Carpenter after she filed assault charges on her husband last month. Neighbors say the home has been in an uproar since then. "Evidently, they never sleep, they're always talking, laughing, crying, 24/7 and that's been an ongoing thing for a while," Meriem Barnett says.
Henderson County deputies say they have a history of responding to domestic complaint calls at the house. Once, they say they were called three different times in one evening.
Angela Carpenter is in the Henderson County jail under a $100,000 bond.
