McDowell County Deputies arrested a man for growing marijuana. Detectives confiscated 74 plants between 4 to 6 feet tall. They discovered the growing operation during a recent marijuana eradication effort using National Guard helicopters. 52-year old Jack Silver was charged manufacturing and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance when they spotted the plants on his roof. The rooftop grower was locked up in lieu of 100,000 dollars bond.
