Western Carolina drops a tough home game to College of Charleston Wednesday 67-65. Western rallied from a 10 point deficit and tied the game with four seconds left on a shot by Trey Sumler. The Cougars Andrew Lawrence was fouled with six tenths of a second left on a questionable call but got two free throws and sank them both to give the Cougars the win.
In college baseball, Western Carolina knocks off Wake Forest 7-2. Roberson alum Adam Curtis pitches six innings of 1 run ball and had a career high of 8 strikeouts. Enka alum, Cody Joneswent 3-4 with 2 rbi. WCU is now 3-1.
UNCA couldn't hold a ninth inning lead and lose 10-9 at UNCG. The Spartans scored two in the 9th to get the win.
