Miami comes to Chapel Hill and hands North Carolina a 68-59 defeat. Miami goes to 2-0 in the ACC for the first time ever. North Carolina drops to 0-2 for the first time since the 2008-09 season. Coach Roy Williams says his team is feeling a lot of stress right now.
In women's hoops, UNCA comes close but fails again to win a Big South game as visiting Winthrop edges the Bulldogs 65-59. UNCA is now 0-5 in conference play.
