Prep basketball playoffs started Monday. Hendersonville boys, and Roberson girls had easy wins. Reynolds boys and Asheville girls lose tough first round home games.
Warren Wilson College men's basketball team got a rousing sendoff Monday as they head to the USCAA Championship in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The Owls won 8 straight to make the tournament which starts Wednesday.Its the first appearance in the national tournament since the early 90's.
Roberson alum, Myles McKee, signed to play college football at UAB. McKee played junior college ball last year in California. The quarterback set numerous school records at Sierra Junior College and was a top 25 quarterback by Rivals.com.
