UNCA Snaps Streak, Pack and Owls Win, Prep Playoffs, (2-27-13)

UNCA snaps a 4 game losing streak by beating Presbyterian 74-62. Keith Hornsby, back from a shoulder injury scores 16 points to lead the Bulldogs.


N.C. State gets 5 threes from Scott Wood and pulls away from Boston College in the second half, claiming an 82-64. Warren Wilson wins its first game in the USCAA Championships, blowing out Albany 60-34. They play top seed New Hampshire Technical Institute Thursday at 3:15. The tournament in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.


The second round of the prep basketball playoffs didn't go well for area boys teams, only three remain. Hendersonville and Swain--they play Friday in Hendersonville and Smoky Mountain. Seven girls teams still alive.
