Asheville Named Among South's
Asheville's culinary scene earns a delicious distinction.
Southern Magazine has named the city among the top ten "Tasty Towns" in the South. Pointing to restaurants like "Curate'" downtown.
"Everybody has a strong demand for great food," says chef/owner Katie Button. "And we do it well and have enough farms and local produce to keep continuing that."
Greenville, Atlanta, and New Orleans are among the other cities in the top ten. "Southern Living" says the top "Tasty Town" will be determined by online voting through February 28th.
The magazine targeted places with diverse cuisine at a variety of price points and rising chefs. Local, sustainable food practices were also a consideration.
