Pocket Dialing 911 Leads to Teen Booze Party

Haywood County deputies say a pocket dial to 911 led them to a teen booze party outside Waynesville.  It happened Friday at the home of 48-year-old Todd Greene on Inheritance Mountain Road.  Greene's 16-year-old son hosted the party.

Deputies say when they arrived at the home they saw over a dozen teens inside drinking alcohol.  Two teens had to be treated for alcohol poisoning.

Incident reports say Greene was passed in a back bedroom of the house. Agents from state Alcohol Law Enforcement cited 16 youngsters for underage drinking and released them to the custody of their parents.

Greene was charged with 16 counts of providing alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Greene must appear in court on February 13th.
