Gas Prices Spike Again On Presidents Day
No "Presidents Day Sale" at the gas pump, but we are paying more currency in the form of Washington's and Lincoln's just to fill up.
Prices spiked for the 32nd consecutive day.
"Just makes it a struggle," says Chris Lance of Fletcher. "You gotta watch your budget the way gas is."
Locally, nearly the spike has been nearly 16 cents in the past week. Prices now average about 3.70 per gallon in the Asheville area.
Experts say the trend will continue, after double digit increases in wholesale prices and tightening fuel production.
Christi tucker of Arden would rather look away.
"It's you know, a strain," she says. "That's why I don't pay attention to the prices."
