New Turf Installation

Brevard High School will soon have new artificial turf to play football on. Brevard College will also play there.
The surface is expected to save more than $20,000 a year in maintenance costs. The company that's installing the turf says the installment is ahead of schedule, despite the recent wet weather.
"Even after it rains we've gotta let the field dry before we can do most of the work we need to do. Other than that it's coming along great," says Sean Waiwaiole with Medallion Athletics.
The first event on the field is planned August 15th. The High Country Jamboree is a four team scrimmage that includes Brevard, North Buncombe, Hendersonville, and Robbinsville.
