Piano Donated to Veterans
A Veteran's home in the mountains is right on key, after a local store donates a piano.
The Piano Emporium of Weaverville delivered a piano to the Veteran's home in Black Mountain Wednesday morning. The act of kindness came after the business heard of the need. The V.F.W. of Mars Hill helped cover the cost of moving the piano and getting it tuned. The hope is the piano will bring smiles to Veteran's faces, and get toes tapping.
"I think it will liven them up and give the people some encouragement and they'll know we care about them and doing something they like," says Volunteer Chaplain Wesely Pike.
The Chaplain will also use the piano during his worship services at the center. The Piano Emporium says the donation was a way to show their appreciation to Veterans for their service.
