Henderson Rape Case Status Hearing
UPDATE (8/27) -- A trial date for four teens accused of raping a classmate has been set.
Tyler Garren, Vincent Curto, James Bishop and Justin Ponder were accused of sexually assaulting the victim in December 2012. The four will go to trial on Jan. 19.
All of the former East Henderson High School students are charged with second degree rape.
The attorney general's office says all of the teens will be tried separately.
The rape case involving four former East Henderson High School students is heading to a special hearing, Tuesday.
The attorney general's office requested on Monday the four appear back in court for a status update.
Tyler Garren, Vincent Curto, James Bishop and Justin Ponder are accused of sexually assaulting a classmate during a party in 2012.
The Henderson County District Attorney previously asked the Attorney General's special prosecutions section to handle this case.
There is no conclusion expected to come from this hearing.
