Ride for Kids
Hundreds of wheels turning, in honor of local children on a difficult journey.
The annual Ride for Kids, benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, helping fund college scholarships for survivors of brain cancer, family support services and brain tumor research.
Hannah Masters from Hendersonville was diagnosed with brain cancer. She says she's been through multiple rounds of treatment, and that today helps her feel more like a kid.
"Most kids with cancer think aw I'm not a good person cause people make fun of them and I was one of them and I was one of those people that got made fun of, and being here making them feel like they're the greatest person in the world is really good cause it makes them feel good," she says.
These rides go on in 37 cities across the country, with the goal of raising about $3.5 million for research.
