35th Annual Lake Hartwell Dam Run 5K/10K/1 Mile

Parsons Mountain Half Marathon

Parsons Mountain Half Marathon is an inaugural event produced by the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.  The course is a mix of paved, asphalt county roads and dirt forest service access roads over gently rolling terrain with one or two significant climbs.

A new festival that features hot new "green" trends such as growing and preserving your own food; while highlighting "green" technologies that can save money and help people become more environmentally friendly. The festival will include live entertainment, a children's area, food vendors and educational demonstrations on topics ranging fro bee keeping and canning to medicinal herbs and raising livestock for consumption. Haywood Community College in Clyde will offer festival-goers the opportunity to tour the new Creative Arts Center, which has a platinum rating when it comes to sustainability, and visit the "demo house," a teaching and public education facility that incorporates the latest "green" technology.

Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventure Race
All Day, May 4, 2013
The Pisgah MTB Adventure will be held deep in the Pisgah National Forest, one of the most beautiful, rugged, and unforgiving areas in the nation. There will be little to no water or food support on course. Once you leave the start/finish you are on your own. There will be no drops, sag wagons, or other outside support available. Be prepared for any circumstances you may encounter including, but not limited to: medical emergencies, navigational errors, inoperable equipment, wild animals, and stinging/poisonous insects and plants.
