Upstate Meningitis Outbreak

Two students have been diagnosed with the dangerous meningitis disease in the past week. Woodland Elementary and East North Street Academy are both Greenville County schools.

They are being cleaned and disinfected to prevent further contamination. Officials say the cases are not related, but parents are still being cautious.

Symptoms of meningitis include sudden high fever, stiff neck, or severe headaches that can cause nausea or vomiting. If you see your child showing any of these symptoms, doctors urge you to seek medical attention right away.
