APD Searching for 2 After Shooting

Two men are recovering after a gunman shoots them at an Asheville neighborhood bus stop. Police say Dequan Payton and Tremaine Patterson were wounded in the gunfire Tuesday afternoon. The shootings happened at the corner of Livingston and Depot Streets.

Payton‚Äôs mother tells News 13 he was shot three times and is recovering in Mission Hospital. Patterson says he was shot in the ankle and is at home on crutches.

Officers are looking for James Griffin and Robert Boseman. Both are wanted for questioning.

Residents at Livingston Street Apartments say they are shocked someone would fire multiple shots in a place where people gather to wait on the bus. Police say Griffin and Boseman may be traveling in a Chrysler 300 or a gray mid-sized four door sedan with tinted windows.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050.
