48 Hour Film Project
Nearly 400 filmmakers spent the weekend in downtown Asheville for the Annual 48 Hour Film Project.
It started in 2001 and has since evolved into one of the world's largest film making competitions.
The event kicked off tonight at Asheville Pizza and Brewing.
24 teams have just two days to write, film and edit a movie.
Bruce Sales, 48 Hour Film Project, "it's fun..you get into it...do it...it's in the movie theatre and everyone is watching it with you."
The finished movies will be screened Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at Asheville Pizza and Brewing company's Merrimon Avenue location.
